Employment Service

The STC Atlanta Chapter is pleased to announce the expansion of its employment services. Employers seeking to hire technical communicators now have access to the Employment Web site, http://jobs.stcatlanta.org to post open jobs and query the database for technical communicators with specific skills. Technical communicators looking for a job can search for open technical communication positions.

Access to the Employment Web site is free to members. However, employment services are extended to nonmembers for a yearly subscription fee of $20. Employment services are also extended to recruiters, employment firms, and agencies for a yearly subscription fee of $65. You can submit a check made payable to STC Atlanta or you can pay with a credit/debit card by clicking the PayPal link below.

Members and approved nonmembers may log on to the Employment Web site using their STC member number when prompted for 'Member ID' and 'Password'. STC Members can find their STC Member Number on the mailing label of Intercom or Technical Communication magazines, or any other printed materials from the Society office. Nonmembers and Agencies receive a special Member ID after paying the yearly access fee.

The profile you set up on the Employment Web site allows you to add your telephone and e-mail contact information, describe your job skills, and control whether this information is visible to members, non-members, and recruiters.

The job announcements that were formerly sent via e-mail and future job postings will be posted in the new jobs database. The STC Atlanta Employment Web site is maintained by the Chapter and augments the main Web site.
