We need Web editors for this site!
Now that we’ve increased the power of our site by rebuilding it on the WordPress content management system, we need to put together a team of volunteer Web editors to make sure new content is posted to the site in a timely fashion and with the highest standards of quality.
Duties will include editing and publishing user-generated content (posts to the Job Center, Tips & Tricks, and News sections) and moderating user comments.
No particular technical skills are required; I’ll train the team on how to manage content using WordPress. I expect time commitment will vary depending on how much content the chapter generates, but my goal is to keep things down to an hour or two per editor each week.
This is a great opportunity to serve the chapter while gaining blogging and Web publishing experience. Interested or have questions? Leave a comment, and I will be in touch soon.

Hello,
I am trying to come back into the fold. I will be at the February meeting. I would very much like to get involved with editing.

I can help. I visited the site to get Holly’s info and contact her about volunteer opportunities, so this sounds interesting.
I’m interested in volunteering.

Now you have three.
Will, add me to the list. I would love to support the STC ATL in this way. As we all can attest, a dynamic website makes a huge difference in the vitality of the chapter.
Jo
I’m new to the chaper, and I would like to get involved by helping with the website.
Will,
If you’re still looking for volunteers, I’d like to join the team.

Thanks for volunteering, everyone! By this point, you should have gotten an email to join a Google group that we’ll use to coordinate our activities. If you haven’t gotten it, please check your spam folder. If it’s not there, drop me an email at willsansbury@gmail.com.
Thanks again!
