MS Word: Use the document map for reading long docs

I recently discovered the Document Map feature in Microsoft Word, and it makes it super easy to jump around a long document. For example, when I’m reading a use case and need to jump from alternate flows back to the basic flow, I often lose my place while scrolling through the many pages.

The Document Map is like having a table of contents displayed at all times. As you click a heading, the document jumps to that page.

To display the Document Map, check the option on the View tab:

  1. Rachel,

I need some information, please.  How to I find out WHERE the STC meetings are held and who can I contact with a MS Word 2010 question?  I’ve scoured the online help, but to no avail.

    Thank you very much,

    • Hi Tanya! Sorry for responding so late. I’ve been on maternity leave since January. We advertise our meetings through email and on our website. The location is usually the Mirant building near Perimeter Mall. We list the address in each meeting announcement. I’ll email you with further details.
